Charles Francis Bacon, Founder of Due.Com and the inventor of Emergent Intelligence™, has over 20 years of experience in the decision-support systems and due diligence industries, and more than 35 years experience in business and technology. Mr. Bacon and his associates provided due diligence, risk analysis, fraud prevention, technology development and corporate and financial engineering to hundreds of organizations through two previous companies, Fraud Busters, Inc. (founded in 1984) and Due Diligence, Inc. (founded in 1989). These companies’ major clients included Pepsi-Cola, Taco Bell, British Aerospace, Coopers & Lybrand and IBM.

A new paradigm of artificial intelligence evolved from insights garnered during these two decades. This new paradigm, coupled with formal research, testing and technology development starting in 1993, culminated with the refinement of the Emergent Intelligence™ system and Due.Com’s founding in 2000.

In general, tools built using the Emergent Intelligence™ system identify, summarize and assess the critical areas of a business, subsidiary, division, department, project, technology, idea, product or service. The system then takes users through various reviews, analyses and recommendations. The system identifies areas of difficulty and areas that need attention for the customers.

Between 2000 and 2006, Due.Com developed a number of concepts and product ideas, including various service and product ideas, some of which are already licensed, and some of which are expected to be the foundation of additional spin-offs or licensable technologies.

Specific tools can focus on various stages and functions in the evolution of organizations.

• The Next Generation Due Diligence™ tools provide advanced due diligence in a web product delivery business model through a license to Due Diligence, Inc.
• BridgeLink™ tools are Internet and intranet based tools and systems for the tracking and analysis of commitments (promises and agreements) through a license to Commitment Interactions.
• The Intelligent Decision Support™ system is Web-based tools and systems designed to reduce the time, costs and uncertainties associated with critical analysis and decision-making through a license to to Diligent Decisions LLC.

Other tools will focus on rating (or scoring) organizations, parts of organizations, financial instruments, or countries. Other tools focus on providing advanced due diligence through PC-based software products. Other tools will focus on products where the Emergent Intelligence™ processes various forms of data, and produces various forms of output, such as in industrial controller applications and hard-wired products.

The design of any Emergent Intelligence™ tools assists users in determining which elements are critical for the success of the topic at hand, both short and long term.
